In memory of Atty. Rosendo Carreon Balinas Jr.

Atty. Rosendo Carreon was a Filipino Chess Grandmaster, who earned his GM way back in 1970's. He was recognized as one of the strongest Asian chess players in the 60’s and early 70’s as he attained several international awards such as in the 17th Chess Olympiad in Havana (Silver) and the 1976 Odessa International Tournament (Gold). With his incredible chess abilities, he was the second Philipppine and Asian International Chess Grandmaster ahead of former World Champion GM Anand and GM Ding Liren.
